16 Nov Day Return Packages from Tokyo
With the season almost upon us, inquiries are starting to pour in about the cheap day return trips by bullet train. We’ve been waiting for more information on this for a while and today the JR SKISKI website was updated. Not much to report other than the online bookings open on Friday December 4th 2015.
If you don’t know about these day trip packages, they are a really good value way to come to the mountains. You get return bullet train tickets as well as a lift pass, and often there are other discount tickets included often priced below the cost of a return shinaksen trip. There are usually a choice of different resorts available in the Yuzawa area. The bullet train from Tokyo to Yuzawa takes about 80 minutes, making it a great location for a day trip to the snow.
