19 Nov Kagura/Mitsumata Shuttle Bus – Early Season 2015

Less than a week until Kagura Ski Resort opens for Winter 2015/16. If you are heading to Yuzawa by train or bullet train, you need to get yourself from Echigo-Yuzawa Station to the Mitsumata Ropeway Station which is just outside town. You can do this by taxi, by renting your gear from one of the local rental shops who provide a free shuttle service (ask us if you need more information on this), or by bus.

Early Season Resort Shuttle – Operating from November 21 2015 – December 11th 2015

Echigo-Yuzawa Station East Exit -> Mitsumata Ropeway Station. Adult 380 yen. Child 190 yen. Plus 100 yen if you have skis/board, or large luggage. 

Departures at 0750, 0845, 955 & 1110. Takes around 20 minutes.

Returns departures from Mitsumata (bus stop just outside the exit stairs from the ropeway) at 1540, 1630, & 1710

Local Bus Running from Yuzawa through to Naeba

Echigo-Yuzawa Station West Exit (other side of the road from the Station in front of the Hatago Isen hotel). Timetable is here, though this timetable is only good until December 18th The times marked with a red dot only run on weekends and holidays.

Echigo-Yuzawa Station West Exit -> Mitsumata Ropeway Station. Adult 380 yen. Child 190 yen. Plus 100 yen if you have skis/board, or large luggage.  (This bus runs all the way through to Naeba, via Tashiro if you are heading to a different ski area.)

Departures at 0610, 0820,  0915, 1010 (weekends/holidays only), 1140, 1300, 1450, 1610, 1800, & 1845. Drops off on the main road.

Returns depart from the bus stop on the main road just by the Mitsumata Ropeway Station. Departures at  around 0722, 0942,  1037, 1132 (weekends/holidays only), 1255, 1422, 1605, 1732, 1915, & 1932 (though this is mid-route so it may vary a bit depending on road and traffic conditions.
