Keep your eyes peeled for discount coupons for lift tickets when you are out and about in Yuzawa. They pop up all over the place: accommodations, restaurants, information centers, and here are some we found in the supermarket today….

Kandatsu Kogen discount tickets

This is the discount ticket for Kandatsu Kogen Ski Area and is good for 500 yen off a day pass – not a bad little saving. It also has the pack ticket – a day pass and a 1,000 yen voucher to use within the resort at a 500 yen discount off the normal price. This comes with 500 yen of rental, 500 yen off lessons with the Japanese school, and a 200 yen discount on the onsen facilities at the resort. The ticket can also be used for a 300 yen discount off the Kandatsu Kogen All Night Night Ski (should you ever be filled with the desire to be skiing at three o’clock in the morning!)

Most resort have a similar ticket spread around the area to try to encourage people to come to their resort with cheap lift tickets. If you are having a ski or snowboard lesson with our ski school in Yuzawa this winter we might be able to pick one up for you if you let us know where you want to go.
