07 Dec Snow Country Events – December

Ski resort openings, fireworks above the slopes and Sky Lanterns are some of the events that are taking place in December in the Snow Country Region with Sakae Club Ski Area, Naeba and New Greenpia Tsunan all being featured. More details over on the Snow Country Blog.

The Sky Lanterns are really cool. A thin paper lantern with a bit of burning lint inside float up into the sky. The New Greenpia Tsunan offer this fun little activity to hotel guests during the winter season. If you really want an impressive sight though, there is a Sky Lantern Festival on March 12 when hundreds of the lanterns are set off into the winter night sky.
