We like nothing more than hurtling down a mountain on skis or a snowboard, but long before snowsports were invented, life in the region was shaped by the heavy snows. Some our instructors last year were lucky to go on a tour that showcased the rich history, culture and cuisine of Snow Country. For many of them it was the highlight of the season.
Our recommendation would be to enjoy your time on the slopes, and if time allows get out and see some of this fascinating region. There is so much to see and do all year round, but winter is a very special time. The traditional side to Snow Country is incredibly interesting and you are sure to find some unique snow experiences.
The Snow Country area has its own tourist board who put together some great snow-themed experiences. They have a website full of information about the region . If you can’t find what you are looking for, we can pop in and ask for you.
