01 Sep NASPA Ski Garden Introduction

NASPA Ski Garden is a skier-only resort a very short drive from Echigo-Yuzawa Station. It is on the free shuttle bus line that connects with Yuzawa Kogen Ski Resort and GALA Yuzawa Ski Resort. The resort is attached to the NASPA New Otani Hotel so is a good base for anyone looking for ski-in, ski-out accommodation.

NASPA Ski Garden does not allow snowboarding.

Only ski lessons are available at NASPA Ski Garden as the resort does not allow snowboarding. If you have a pathological fear of snowboarders this could be the resort for you.

NASPA Ski Garden has a magic carpet lift as part of the Kids’ Garden. It is mainly for sledging and tends to be a bit on the steep side. One side is for skiing but usually it is for use by children only.

The beginner run at NASPA is really flat for the first half but gets very steep for the second half. You need to be very confident in your skills to tackle this as a beginner so if you are unsure, a lesson could be a very good idea. With the free shuttle bus connecting NASPA to other nearby resorts there are always options to build up your confidence before coming back to challenge this slope.
