28 Sep Kagura Information Leaflet 2015/2016
So we picked up the info leaflet for Naeba/Tashiro/Kagura/Mitsumata resorts (together known as Mt. Naeba) a couple of days ago and thought we’d put some of the contents into English. The big news is that Kagura, always the first resort to open, will start on Saturday November 21st, so our ski lessons and snowboard lessons are available from that date.
There is quite a bit of information so we will split it over a couple of posts.
Snow Country Instructors teach ski lessons and snowboard lessons all Mt. Naeba resorts – Naeba, Tashiro, Kagura and Mitsumata.
Kagura opens on Saturday November 21st 2015. Naeba opens on Saturday December 12th 2015, with the Prince Hotel opening on Friday December 11th.
Kids Free. Kids (defined as those still at Elementary School in Japan – usually 12 or under) get a free lift ticket at these resorts (and all Prince Snow Resorts.)
20 years olds free. On weekdays for November 24th to March 31st (excluding public holidays, and December 28th – January 1st)
19 years olds free. On weekdays for December 14th to March 31st (excluding public holidays, and December 28th – January 1st)
A new restaurant, Snowman Cafe and Restaurant, at the top of the Mitsumata Ropeway from November.
A snowmat artificial slope at the top of the Mitsumata Ropeway from November. This will help with the very early season if there hasn’t been much natural snow. It will also be open for summer skiing from July 2016.
FIS Alpine Ski World Cup in Naeba in February.
