05 Sep Yuzawa Nakazato Ski Resort Introduction
Yuzawa Nakazato is run by the same company who manage Maiko Snow Resort. Much like Maiko, it is a good resort worthy of your attention boasting good facilities for families. There are some cruisy, wide runs and enough to explore to keep most people busy.

The resort has a local line train station at the bottom. It is Echigo Nakazato on the Joetsu Line. There is also a line of blue train carriages standing permanently at the bottom of some of the slopes which are used as a rest area, and are very welcome on a cold day.
For those looking for ski-in, ski-out accommodation there is a big hotel called Angel Grandia right on the slopes, and plenty of other accommodation in the town of Nakazato just a short walk away.
There is a Smile Kids Park that has a magic carpet lift. This gives access to a little learner slope, a steeper sledging slope and also a tubing run, so is always a big hit with the little ones.
As a Yuzawa ski school we like ski lessons and snowboard lessons at Yuzawa Nakazato. It’s got some good long runs which are great for practice. For kids they usually have some fun courses through the trees and some undulating wave courses. There is also a small terrain park with a couple of jumps and rails/boxes.
Yuzawa Nakazato is planning to open on December 18th 2015.
