17 Feb February Already!
This season is shooting by in a blur of skiing, snowboarding, and snow shoveling! It has been another big winter with plenty of snow falling all over the region. It’s unfortunate that all our snow-loving friends from overseas haven’t been able to get over here for the last two winters which have both seen bumper snowfalls. Fingers crossed for next season.
Conditions in all the resorts are fantastic at the moment, and there is more snow forecast for the coming week. Things bode well for spring with a deep base on all ski resorts in Yuzawa and Minami Uonuma at the moment.
For ski and snowboard lessons, Saturday continues to be our most requested day. We usually have plenty of availability on Sundays if you are here for the weekend, or are more than happy to head out for a night ski lesson if you are keen!
If you are missing travel and want an international experience for your children, come and hang out with one of ski or snowboard coaches for the chance to practice your English as you ride up the chair lift together.
We remain open for ski lessons and snowboard lessons until the last lift stops running. Lower resorts tend to close at the end of March/beginning of April, but higher resorts such as GALA Yuzawa, Tashiro, and Kagura will aim to stay open until the Golden Week Holidays at the beginning of May, and Kagura will usually keep operating into June. Plenty of days left to enjoy this fantastic snow.
We hope to see you soon, and if you need any further information, or would like to book an instructor, please get in touch.
