22 May Finished for another year!
Winter 22/23 came to an end on Sunday May 21st as Kagura closed its lifts for the season. This winter it was great to see so many international visitors able to make it back to Japan to enjoy the snow again after two winters of the borders being closed.
No one really knew what to expect for the winter, and borders opening late in autumn with little notice made preparations very difficult for many winter businesses. It was a slow start in terms of snow but there was enough throughout the season. Kagura have done well to last until May as the temperatures became spring-like from the end of February.
We are now looking ahead to next winter and will be updating our information in autumn once we have more details from the resorts. (Watch this space for news of an Early Bird Offer after the summer holidays have finished!!)
A big thanks to all the awesome team, all the awesome customers, and everyone who helped make this winter possible. We look forward to seeing you all again when the snow comes for Winter 23/24.
