10 Sep What’s going on with Winter 2020 / 2021?
This seems to be a common question at the moment, but not one we have an answer to at the moment unfortunately!
Snow Country Instructors are planning to be up and running for the whole season from when the first lift opens until the last one closes. In a normal year this is late November until sometime in May. We have a team of instructors in Japan and ready to go. (It has been the first summer in Japan for many of them who usually do two winter each year, and after a long, hot, humid summer, they are desperate for cold weather and snow!)
Most resorts seem to be aiming for as close to normal business as possible. We are still waiting for exact updates but the first early bird season pass offers have started to surface online. Early bird sales for normal lift tickets should start soon too.
We are keeping a close eye on announcements about the easing of travel restrictions and quarantine requirements, and are hoping for encouraging developments in the coming months.

And masks, goggles, and gloves are standard around here!
Stay safe and more news when we have it!
